5 Mile, an Amazing Arm Workout, and Maxwell

by

THIS WEEK I RAN 5 MILES!

The longest run yet and the one that makes me really feel like I’m “in training” again. Sometimes you just need that ONE thing to light a fire under you and push yourself and that was my friend Nicole and a 5 mile run.

So BOOYAH! 5 miles!!!

I’ve had victories every week the past few weeks, each week I’ve run further or rode further, and even though the miles are still slow, I know the speed will come. I’m just excited that things really truly are getting back to normal. And I decided on this run that the rest of this year is not about the coveted PR, it’s about celebrating doing it. And being able to.

What I love almost as much as the fact that I ran 5 miles today is the fact that I have people around me to push me and fuel me to go further like my husband and my friend Nicole. And I’m so grateful.

I’m also working out at home in between swim-bike-running and I LOVE THIS AMAZING 10 minute ARM WORKOUT.

I pull it up on the computer and it HURTS so good. It only takes 10 minutes!!! The other thing I do in between is I do 3 sets of 10 of two different squats (each), which equal 60 squats. I do 10 regular squats then 10 ballet squats, and I do this three times in a row without stopping.

I’m still targeting that crazy inner thigh thing and my appointment with my GYN oncologist for my checkup is tomorrow so you know I’ll ask about what the heck is going on there.

This is our other big news:

This is Maxwell!

Meet Maxwell, the newest member of our family!

Turns out he’s very transportable. He convinced me to ditch car line yesterday and walk up to meet my 6 year old, and then we waited in car line together for my other guy, and Maxwell had a great time at baseball practice last night.

The kids love him and he’s adorable. He’s about two years old, he’s potty trained and crate trained and piddles when he’s excited (but really, who doesn’t?)

Isn’t he cute?!

The weigh-in results this week? One pound. I’ll take it.

How was your week this week?? Check in with the Sisterhood today!
