Well, it’s Here. We’re Officially Back to School.
Yes, we are! Let the crazy begin…
Yesterday I posted about a Back to School photo that will help you mark that momentous day and, well, HERE IT IS!

As for how it all went today, I was all excited because I went to bed really early for a change. They had a hard time falling asleep though (I don’t blame them.)
I had their backpacks all packed and ready to go the night before. Lunches and snacks made.
I got up and made them eggs and bacon (bacon with no preservatives, hurrah! I actually found some!) and toast and we had breakfast together as a family and we talked about the exciting day ahead.
In fact, I was really quite prepared after a week filled with chaos! I was proud of myself! We needed to find a new pediatrician (check), get our shots (check), go to three orientations (check) and a school meeting (check) and get all our school supplies and uniforms (check and check.)
And so then when I got to my 4 year old’s school, all “prepared” and such, I realized I had forgotten some forms, some supplies, and worst of all, his snack. *cue collective gasp*

The teachers will forgive me for forgetting forms, but A SNACK? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?
His teacher told me she had extra so there was no need for me to run home, so instead I went for a run.
And then I ripped my favorite pants coming across the drawbridge when I got too close to a protruding screw.
Awesome.
Apparently this is what happens when I think I have it all together and instead inside I am a frazzled mess! It’s not my most flattering picture, but I’m beyond caring about it. Hopefully I’ve run it all out of me and we’re good for day 2!
Luckily they have NO IDEA I forgot any of it and THEY HAD A FABLOUS DAY!
We are officially back at the crazy. I hope you had a wonderful start to the new year and if it’s not your turn, I hope it all goes smoothly!

Love the picture of the boys! Sounds like they had a great day, despite the little things that didn’t get taken care of in advance.
As for our first day, (homeschooling) it was supposed to happen about a month ago but keeps getting pushed back. Schools start next Monday around here so I’m hoping I have my act together to actually start then!
They have no idea what we go through, LOL!
School starts for us next week. We just divvied up the school supplies and packed their backpacks today and they’ve chosen lunches for next week. We’re (I’m) READY!

Great picture of your boys! I love it.
We do not start school here until September 5…so my kiddos have 2 more weeks of summer.
We all look forward to getting back to a school schedule though!
