Runner’s World pairs up with Disney to make the Goofy Challenge and the 20th Anniversary of the Disney Marathon even amazinger.
So ya’ll remember I have high aspirations of running the Goofy Challenge right? (Which is a half marathon on Saturday followed by the marathon on Sunday.)
Let’s try to forget that I can’t run very much right now, we’re still a good 100-something days left to train anyway. I am registered for it, after all. It’s a Disney race so something magical has got to happen to me by then, right? *snicker*
Anyways, this is just crazy. In addition to being able to run the Goofy Challenge and the 20th Anniversary of the Disney Marathon in general, runners can now participate in the Runner’s World Challenge, a complete VIP experience from beginning to end: your room booked, private transportation to and from the finish line, a special shirt and gift, parties, etc etc but probably the coolest part is getting actual guidance and help from Runner’s World experts along the journey toward Goofy. Disney announced yesterday the partnership with Runner’s World (it’s a match made in heaven for real, both my favorites together!)
This VIP package is borderline ridiculous in cool factor with the amount of stuff it offers. Just to be able to pick the brains for MONTHS of running experts while I’m training would be the coolest thing ever!
Im just going to share with you some of the goodies:
And then some MORE of the goodies (the list just gets longer. Note: package prices are at the bottom).
I have VIP package envy. If you want to look at it again in all its glory, here are the full Runner’s World Challenge details.
I’m already registered for the Goofy (I mentioned that right?)
(So I wonder if I could get a discount…?) There’s no doubt for me that Disney races are magical (I’ve run three, I love them so much I just keep running them.) This VIPness is definitely a Disney experience, Disney does everything big.
Either way, if you want to make the Goofy Challenge an even more amazing experience, you can book it at runDisney.com. (Are you running Disney 2013? I am sure this screams TWEETUP!)
Also, Nicole (my friend who may or may not be reading), it’s time to register for Goofy. It’s 85% full. Just saying. CLICK IT.
My first running race back, by the way, will be the Disney Wine & Dine in November. On the road toward Goofy. Who knows what the rest of 2012 will hold for me? I think it’s big things. (I’m sure 2013 is going to be SOMUCHBETTER.) Oh yea. Don’t forget, #runDisney just got on Twitter, go follow them.
Im off today to go fishing with my dad, I haven’t done that in at least 20 years! Hooray! See ya’ll later! ps. Can I just tell you right now how GOOD I FEEL???? Yesterday, I didn’t even have to take Advil! Breakthrough!!!! And I wore shorts WITH BUTTONS!!!!! The end is near, friends. I can tell.
Have you done a Disney race before?? What’s your favorite? Or which one have you always wanted to do???
