Today is my six week checkup!
I hardly know what to write after that, I can’t believe it’s been six weeks already! I have a list of questions a mile long, like I wonder what it looks like in there and how at this point things are typically healing from his knowledge of past surgeries and also why I have insomnia and more importantly how to fix it. Which exercises he recommends for my soft stomach and can I lift my 4 year old now? Pretty please?
I’m giving him homemade cinnamon buns and a thank you note for all his trouble. It doesn’t seem like enough but I suspect nothing ever will.
In other news:
-This morning my four year old kept asking me if I wanted to play “Whore City.” He asked me about five times because I kept asking him, “I’m sorry, WHAT!!???” Until I finally figured out he was saying, “WHOLE.”
Oh thank God.
I still don’t know what “Whole City” it sounds like it’s much better than the alternative.
-I now have two big, bright green bowls fitted upside on the bird feeder in an attempt to thwart the squirrels again.
I know it’s not that attractive, but the birds have been streaming in all morning. Only one squirrel got past it so far but I scerred him off. This is magnificent.
-I’m speaking at Fitbloggin ’12 this year! I am a firm believer of doing things the scare the sh*t out of myself in order to get over my fear of them and this is one of those things. I have 98 days to get ready for this.
I hope there won’t be video of it. Are you going to Fitbloggin? BlogHer? Next week I’m headed to the Fitness & Health Blogger’s Conference in Denver. I’m so excited!
Finally, I got a Keurig and I love it. However, after forgetting to put the cup under there twice, I’ve found a new definition for panic:
I always run back in a terrible panic thinking I’ve forgotten it.
