Happy Holidays everyone!
Do you feel overwhelmed right now? Like you have a million balls in the air that you’re juggling and each one is coming down one by one?
(Can you tell I’m the slightest bit overwhelmed myself?)
However, there is a balance out there, looming, waiting for us to find it. It’s sitting somewhere in between “Oh hell no!” and “Is it too early to have wine?”
I know we can find it. I’m going back to my roots, to the place where I really love to balance. The Bosu. And I’m taking some tips from it, taking a breath and starting fresh with my own advice.
5 Tips for Maintaining Balance During the Holidays, enjoy! (Apparently balancing with monkeys is very important too. My boys did the video with me.)
If you don’t have time for the video, here’s the cheat sheet:
- Don’t sweat the small stuff. Focus on the big picture things.
- Try not to rush through the holidays. Savor the moments. In 10 days it will all be over and you will be wondering what happened.
- After tomorrow, the kids are off for 2 weeks! (At least mine are!) It may be slightly panic-inducing that my work time versus work volume will be completely out of synch, but I’m going to actually turn off the electronics during our scheduled really cool-mom outings.
- Try to exercise. You can do my 12 Days of Fitness if you can’t squeeze it in. It takes 10 minutes. 10 minutes is better than no minutes.
- MODERATION! Eat the cookies. Just not ALLLLL THE COOKIES.
Happy Holidays! I hope you find your zen place or that you are snuggling up comfy in it already!

They have to be a 10 out of 10.

Great tips there, Im really impressed by the relax and take it slow one. Even though there is so much to be done at this time of year I think its critical that you enjoy the time off and relax too!
