Dolphin Tale: A Sit-Down With Harry Connick Jr.

The week before the premiere of Dolphin Tale, the cast of the movie was here in town talking to the media, since it’s the home of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where Winter the Dolphin lives and where the movie was filmed.

While they were here, I got to interview most of the cast including Harry Connick, Jr., Morgan Freeman and Winter herself, who is quite a ham, by the way.

Here is my interview with Harry Connick, Jr. in its entirety (nervous laugh and all.) My favorite part of the interview is when he talks about looking into Winter’s big eye.

This whole thing by the way has been really exciting for the Tampa Bay area which LOVES Winter! And really exciting for me since we live near the aquarium, were members and spent a lot of time there.

Great things are happening for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, including an expansion that will allow them to continue their work rescuing and rehabilitating animals and to me that’s the greatest gift of this movie.

That and being able to interview Harry Connick, Jr. if we’re being honest which we are.

Dolphin Tale opened up in theaters everywhere last week (9/23).

Here’s my review of Dolphin Tale if you haven’t seen it yet. My kids haven’t seen the movie yet but I’m really excited to take them soon! They’re busting!
